Helpful Information for Visitors

Photography and Filming Policy

Visitors are welcome to take photographs and film within the museum using non-professional equipment at no cost. This includes the use of portable cameras, whether conventional or digital, for both images and sound recordings, provided that the content is not intended for professional or commercial use.

If you wish to use professional equipment for photography or filming, you will need to obtain a permit and pay the applicable fees.

All interested parties must submit a formal application before a permit is issued.

Hosting an event

We offer the opportunity to use the museum’s space for temporary events at no charge, provided that these events are non-profit in nature and have either free admission or allocate all their proceeds to a public benefit cause.

Complimentary Admission Passes

Complimentary Admission Passes, as provided by the competent Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza, is extended to the following individuals, among others:
• Contracted employees of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The Complimentary Admission Pass can be renewed as long as the professional affiliation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports is ongoing.
• Active teachers across the primary, secondary and tertiary institutions of the country’s educational system. In the case of substitutes and part-time teachers, the Complimentary Admission Pass can be renewed as long as they remain employed in an educational capacity.
• Graduates of the History and Archaeology Departments of Schools of Philosophy, as well as graduates of Schools of Architecture, Fine Arts, and Schools of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, including Departments of Conservation of Antiquities and Works of Art, from national or equivalent institutions within the European Union and the European Economic Area. This privilege also extends to holders of postgraduate and doctoral degrees from these institutions.
• Graduates of Museum Studies and Schools and Departments of Cultural Management from higher educational institutions in Greece or equivalent institutions within the member states of the European Union and the European Economic Area. Additionally, holders of master’s or doctoral degrees from these Schools are eligible.
• Students and alumni of the Preparatory and Vocational School of Fine Arts of Panormos, on Tinos.

The individuals eligible for Complimentary Admission Passes are extensively outlined in the Official Gazette 3976/B/31.10.2019.

To acquire the pass, eligible individuals must complete the corresponding application form, accompanied by the necessary certificates validating their eligibility and two passport-sized color photographs i.e. similar to an ID card.
