The museum seen from a different angle
A digital exhibition showcases ancient artifacts that remain integrated within the archaeological site’s monuments, newly unearthed discoveries from ongoing excavations at Nicopolis, as well as older artifacts stored in the museum’s repositories.
Exhibit of the month
Each month, together with the friends of the museum, a specific item from the exhibition is chosen and unveiled to the wider audience. Through text, images, and video, its history is elucidated, including its discovery method, location, and date, as well as its significance, interpretation, and symbolism.
Open to the general public, the museum regularly hosts special exhibitions, extending an open welcome to both the local community and the broader society. These exhibitions are organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture’s anniversary celebrations or to present new discoveries and insights into Nicopolis life as well as the distant, yet surprisingly contemporary, world of antiquity.
